Jenny Qualls is a longtime Dallas landscape architect with experience in both residential and commercial projects. As she launched her own firm, the goal was clear: create a brand that felt professional and credible while capturing her warmth, playfulness, and personality. In a field dominated by muted greens and traditional visuals, this brand needed to stand apart.
We developed a clean, minimal logo suite designed to feel modern and timeless. Because the firm is commonly referred to as JQLA, the brand mark highlights those initials in a recognizable way, making it easy to reference and remember. The color palette is intentionally broad, designed to be layered and used together, giving the brand a dynamic, expressive energy without losing cohesion. The logo and colors work together to balance professionalism and playfulness, reflecting Jenny’s expertise and personality.
Typography reinforces that balance, pairing a playful serif for headlines with a clean, all-caps sans serif for body copy. Custom patterns bring the brand to life, including cabana stripes and checks inspired by poolside textiles, a subtle tree ring motif, and oversized florals that bring nature directly into the visual language. Together, these elements move the brand beyond the typical “green and granola” landscape aesthetic toward something joyful, confident, and distinct. The result is a polished, approachable, and unmistakably JQLA.
